LaboratoriesThe research activities at the Laboratory for
Biomolecular NMR Spectroscopy are centred around a new laboratory
established during 2003 and 2004. The
laboratory is a part of the Department of Chemistry, University of Aarhus.
The new NMR Laboratory houses
two spectrometers
for combined solid- and liquid-state NMR spectroscopy of biological
macromolecules (e.g., membran proteins). Furthermore, the group have
access to new laboratories for modern
chemistry/biochemistry laboratory work.
In the first phase the NMR laboratory is equipped with a wide-bore ultra-shielded 700 MHz spectrometer enabling state-of-the-art solid- and liquid-state biological NMR and a widebore 400 MHz spectrometer dedicated to biological solid-state NMR spectroscopy. In the second phase of the project it is the intention to further equip the laboratory with a wide-bore 600 MHz spectrometer for combined liquid- and solid-state NMR spectroscopy. |
